Ivano Dionigi, professor emeritus of Latin Language and Literature at the Alma Mater Studiorum – University of Bologna, is a spokesman for a school that stimulates critical thinking, that teaches how to grasp the depth and the relationship between things, that allows us to discover the value of the past and memory while inventing the unseen and the unheard. In other words, interrogare, intelligere, invenire: these are the foundations on which to build education, starting from the thought of the classics.
The author will be in conversation with Vittorio Lingiardi, psychiatrist, psychoanalyst, full professor of Dynamic Psychology at the Faculty of Medicine and Psychology of Sapienza University of Rome.

Ivano Dionigi is professor emeritus of Latin Language and Literature at the Alma Mater Studiorum - University of Bologna, of which he was rector from 2009 to 2015. A former president of the Pontifical Academy of Latinity, he is a consultant to the Pontifical Council for Culture and Education, director of the Study Center “The Permanence of the Classical,” guarantee president of the International Center for Humanistic Studies “Umberto Eco” and president of the AlmaLaurea Interuniversity Consortium.
