Moderates Angela Mauro, Brussels correspondent for Huffpost Italia
As part of the Festival dello Sviluppo Sostenibile 2023 promoted by Alleanza Italiana per lo Sviluppo Sostenibile (ASviS)
The talk will explore the challenges facing Europe one year before the next European Parliament elections with a dialogue between Enrico Giovannini, Scientific Director of ASviS, and Romano Prodi, former President of the Council of Ministers and European Commission.
The European Union aims to ensure coherence between industrial, environmental, climate and energy policy in order to create an optimal business environment for sustainable growth, job creation and innovation. To support this, the Commission has set out an ambitious program to transform the EU economy into a circular economy, where the value of products and materials is retained for as long as possible, bringing important economic benefits. The Commission also supports European industry in the transition to a climate-neutral economy and improves the energy efficiency of products through eco-design legislation.
